OUR VISION

The Sunshine Skills Hub will prepare individuals for the unpredictable future of work, a place where the physical and digital worlds converge.

The Skills Hub will provide flexible training solutions that focus on developing the skills industry demand. Skills that involve a blend of creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and specialist technical skills in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), 3D Printing, drone surveying, construction robotics, data analytics, e.health and cybersecurity.

The Skills Hub will foster entrepreneurial thinking and connect a diverse group of key players from industry, education and the community who collaboratively come together to solve real industry challenges.





THE SPACE

The building has been funded by, The Ian Potter Foundation, Victorian Government’s Department of Education and Training and Victoria University. Architectural firm Woods Bagot have designed the building with ADCO Constructions appointed as the lead builder.

• Demolition works carried out.

2019

• Finalise all programs for delivery

• Launch building in December

• Commence recruitment of students

Provides creators with access to state-of-the-art facilities and modern technology that will support entrepreneurial thinking, ideation and prototyping as it relates to solving industry problems. Technology will include the latest in robotics, 3D printing, drones and industry standard software.

A world class nursing simulation lab and specialist teaching spaces that replicate real environments.

A suite of short-term micro-credentials co-designed and accredited by industry to upskill and reskill the workforce.

A bespoke 12-Month Digital Entrepreneurship Program for career changers, school leavers and individuals.

A Digital Internship Program in high demand, skill shortage areas.

Artifical Intellegence

Connections with industry peak bodies established to help promote digital careers to women who are severely under-represented in digital roles.

Big Data

Collaboration with industry experts to encourage entrepreneurial thinking, problem solving and business growth.
